Roc City Rib Cook Off


Do you have the best ribs in Rochester? Come on down to Roc City Rib Fest and show us your goods. The Roc City Rib Cook Off is an inexpensive single day, single category competition to showcase the best ribs in Rochester.

It also is a great way for the backyard BBQer to gain valuable competition experience for a very small investment. $2000 in prize money! Come see how you stack up! Download the cooks packet for competition details.

The Roc City Rib Cook Off is included FREE with the KCBS or WBC competitions, so why not try your hand at one of those comps as well.  We love to see our teams move up into the more involved contests.  No better way to learn than to jump in!  Plus you get the extra space included.

Roc City Rib Cook Off Teams are given at least 20 by 10 size sites.  No extra space is available to RCRC teams… If you need more space upgrade to the KCBS or WBC contests :-)

    I was just wondering how to find a score sheet for my team.we entered roc city rib off just heard the place we came in but nothing else.just wondering what are scores were so we can improve on this year for next.thanks

    Yes, for the Roc City Rib Cook Off only, you can preseason and pre marinade.

    Im participating in the rib cook off… Just to be clear i can open, trim and apply rub to my ribs b4 meat inspection? ie.. the night b4?

    can you only choose just the rib cook off? and if so when is the deadline for registration to participate???

    Every team competing (KCBS or Rib Only) needs a three bay wash setup. It can be as easy as three buckets or bus tubs a little bleach and soap. Water will be available.

    I am considering entering the rib cooking portion of the festival and saw that a 3 bay washing system was required. Is that for every competitor or just those participating in the whole weekend. If it is for all competitors what would be the easiest to comply with.
