Giving back to our community and helping children in the Rochester area is what Roc City Rib Fest is all about! This year we have expanded our giving to four great causes: Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong, YMCA’s Invest in Youth Campaign, Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, and the Charlotte Community Association.
Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong
The 124-bed Golisano Childrens Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center is the areas only childrens hospital. It serves as the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region. The hospital is committed to treating all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
The hospital has been our main giving partner since our inception in 2008. Thanks to everyone who has come to Roc City Rib Fest we have been able to raise over $43,000 for the hospital! One dollar of every paid entry is be donated, some come out and help a VERY worthy cause!

YMCA Invest in Youth Campaign
The YMCA of Greater Rochester is a charity that has worked to respond to our societys greatest challenges for over 155 years. Now more than ever, children and families need the supportive environment, positive role models and values-rich atmosphere of the YMCA. With your support, the annual Invest in Youth Campaign ensures that the YMCA is there for those who need us most. Ronald McDonald House of Rochester
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. We accomplish this by:
* Caring for families and keeping them close to their children at our 20-bedroom “home away from home”.
* Caring for the parents of the most critically ill and injured children at our House Within the Hospital, located above the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.
* Providing a Family Lounge on the Pediatric Floor at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong that brings the caring spirit of our two Houses to all families with children in treatment.
* Funding programs that improve the health outcomes for children in our area.

Charlotte Community Association
The Charlotte Community Association has been serving the community for over 47 years. Roc City Rib Fest will be giving to the Charlotte Community Association’s Scholarship Fund for area high school students heading to college.
