Roc City Rib Fest is all about giving back to our community and this year we want to help the children and families at the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. We also want to give the public an opportunity to taste competition quality barbecue. We would like to use the Roc City Rib Cook Off to accomplish both of theses goals.
We are asking the general public (no certification needed) to judge and donate $20 with 100% going to the Ronald McDonald house of Rochester. Last year was a smashing success!! Thanks to our charity judges we were able to donate $2000 to the Ronald McDonald house of Rochester!!
You will judge six different competitors ribs and be able to take any of the leftovers. Not to mention the gratification of helping out families in need. Our contest reps will do a quick class on how to judge, so no experience is necessary. This is first come first serve so make sure to sign up early to get this unprecedented taste of competition barbecue.
Judges will need to meet at the judging tent at 3:30 pm on Saturday May 26th.
Simply use the Add To Cart button below to register and pay.
Charity Judging $20

is it to late for this?
Nope, we still have slots!
Thanks!
Still looking for judges? I am interested! What is the total time commitment required?
There are a couple different options here: http://roccityribfest.com/judging/ And they have different time commitments, the easiest would to become a charity judge which only takes about an hour.
Thanks!

when is the cutoff for signing up to be a judge, and how many slots are you looking to fill—-i know the charity judge spots cost $20 —do the certified judge spots cost anything?
The cut-off for the charity judges is likely next week. The certified spots don’t cost anything, but are only available to certified judges.
Thanks!
Certified judging and the judging Class is closed for 2012, thanks to all those who signed up!
