It is with great excitement and sadness that we announce the Roc City Rib Fest will be moving its location for 2014. The Beach and Charlotte area has been a gracious and welcoming partner for our event. You have helped our event grow to what it is today and it was a very hard decision to leave, but we are in need of more space! The ever growing festival and competition demands the festival square footage and better parking availability.

Our new location is Genesee Valley Park!

We are excited to start the next chapter of the Roc City Rib Fest across the parking lot from both of our main charities, The Children’s Hospital at Strong and the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester.

Centrally located, easy access, tons of festival space and massive FREE University of Rochester parking lots!

Festival goers and judges will be able to access the massive University of Rochester parking lots from the North park entrance (Moore Rd), just off of Elmwood Ave. Google the term “Roundhouse Pavilion in Genesee Valley Park‎, Rochester, NY” to get directions or use the coordinates (43.1196342,-77.6356717). See the two Festival Goer maps below for detailed directions when you get close.

Handicapped spaces will be available close to the main entrance in the University of Rochester lots.

See the map for directions:

Teams and Vendors MUST access the park via the South entrance (Hawthorne Dr) off of of East River Rd.

Laboratory for Laser Energetics 250 E River Rd Rochester, NY 14623@43.113082,-77.63148699999999

Google directions for this place, then don’t go to this place, go forward through the traffic circle and enter the park on the right.

Hey guys! Looking forward to competing next weekend. When I put the address in my GPS and when I Google it I always get sent to Moore Rd. Can someone tell me how the heck to get there from I90 East using Hawthorne? Thanks!

The competitors can not feed the public because of health department regulations. You will be feeding only six judges. Most KCBS teams cook something like 2 briskets, two pork butts, six racks of ribs and about 15 pieces of chicken. Thanks for choosing Roc City!

We are interested in joining the BBQ competition and have a few questions. First off…. do the competitors feed the public with the bbq they have cooked for the competition and if so how much meat should we provide for the KCBS competion?
Thank you for any information provided.
